Ecurie Ecosse

Another friend of Ecurie Ecosse, Ralph Forbes, who knew David Murray when Ecurie Ecosse was originally racing, used to run the Nine-Mile-Burn Garage near Edinburgh and did a bit of racing and rallying. He took up the challenge to gather together some other Scots to make up the seven-car team. Ralph himself is running a Fiat 128 with Wesley Massam.

Also in the Ecurie Ecosse team are John Roberts and Oliver Tomlins from Aberdeen with a Fiat 128 Coupe, Steve Graham and Tony Graham with a Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3S, Alan Morton and Milton Ringer in a Fiat 124 Coupe and Rick Pearson and Stuart Pringle in a Porsche 924 Turbo. Rick Pearson, who lives in France, is normally seen racing and runs the Nissan Primera that former Ecosse driver, the late David Leslie, used to race. Stuart Pringle is secretary of the British Racing Drivers club.

All of the teams mentioned above are starting from Glasgow and the seventh crew, David Mustarde, originally from Kilmacolm, and Bernard Northmore are starting from Reims in France with their Alfa Romeo Giulietta Ti.

This is a first for Ecurie Ecosse in rallying and hopes are high for a good result when the event finishes in Monaco on Saturday February 4.
