Whilst most of the Ecurie Ecosse cars were at Goodwood, Alasdair McCaig took Hugh's Jaguar XK120 Cabriolet to Bo'ness for the first running of the climb for over forty years. A much shortened track had been approved by the RAC and there was great enthusiasm for the event. Unfortunately it rained and rained but it did not dampen the enthusiasm as can be seen in the photo of Alasdair McCaig sliding the Jaguar out of the Courtyard section.
It is interesting to note that it is probably nearly fifty years since this same Jaguar XK120 Cabrio was run up the hill by its previous owner, Bob Hamilton, a great enthusiast for Falkirk and District Motor Club and who did not live too far away from the venue.
Many well known cars from both Charterhall and Ingliston took part in the event including the last of the Fisher Specials.
Despite the weather the success of the event indicates there will be a big entry next year.
